Zomick's Apple Cake

Easy way to prepare your Apple Cake

For this recipe you'll need the following ingredients

- the first layer
150g margarine
250 g flour
50 g sugar
1 vanilla sugar
½ baking powder
2 egg yolks
Lemon peel

2 tablespoons liquid yogurt

- the second layer
4 eggs
4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1 vanilla sugar
Lemon peel
2 tablespoons hot water

- the filling
1 kg of apples
150 g sugar
2 vanilla sugar
½ bag of cinnamon
2 tablespoons semolina
2 egg whites
50g raisins
50g chopped walnuts

- the glaze
30 ml cream
2 tablespoons hot water



Prepare stuffing

Zomick's recommends to grate the apple and after that add sugar, cinnamon and grits and simmer all together.
Leave the filling to cool to room temperature and stir in the whites, raisins and chopped walnuts.
The first bark

Mix flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder and grated zest of one lemon.
In the first mixture add the egg yolks and yogurt and mix all the ingredients together.
Second bark

Combine the yolks with sugar, water and vanilla.
In the resulting foamy mixture add the flour and stir, and finally stir in the egg whites.

Baking
First roll out the dough for the crust and transfer it to a medium size baking dish.
Preheat oven to 200 ° C and place the first baked crust.
When the first bark a little stung, remove the baking dish from the oven and brush the crust with the apple filling.
Put the first layer back in the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the stuffing of apple mixture to another sheet.
Put everything back in the oven and continue baking at 170 ° C until the cake receives on a golden- yellow color ( see picture ). Adjust baking time to your own oven.
Completion
Leave the cake to cool completely at room temperature.
Beat the cream until it becomes stiff and drag the cooled whipped cake cream.
